You can now recover all your contacts after you lose your phone. This is possible through a service by the name back to you, where subscribers from all networks can back up, transfer or restore their contact information through a combined SIM and terminal base back up.

Providers of the service have partnered with local mobile operators to allow access of subscribers information while maintaining revenue per subscription in the event of data loss.

Registration for the service is only Sh 50 monthly with privacy of personal data guaranteed.

The service which is already rolled out has a software which is able to handle a capacity of 56 million  subscribers.
