Police in Nairobi were forced to use tear gas canisters to disperse truck drivers protesting against alleged grabbing of their parking yard.
The truck drivers were moved to the site by the city council of Nairobi from the Kariakor round about.
They claim the land has been bought by a private developer.
The drama all began when a group of lorry drivers claiming to have the rightful permission to use the land as a park-yard set to demolish the temporary perimeter wall that had been erected in the early morning.
Another group believed to have been paid to guard the land in question staged a fierce reaction where even the former mayor Joe Aketch was not spared.
In-spite of the heavy police presence, the drivers have now vowed to demolish the fence to repossess their park-yard.
