Chege Kariuki joined K24 as a reporter in 2008 and has been working as both editor and reporter on K24' s Daily Business Programme, EYEWITNESS BUSINESS.Chege's greatest strength is his leadership skills which have seen the business unit cover everything from major international business news to local grassroots stories. Chege led the business team in its coverage and subsequent analysis of the 2009/10 budget speech. He also spearheaded a full week of coverage of the African Growth and Opportunities Act or AGOA which brought to the country more than two-thousand business industry leaders from across Africa and the United States. He also coordinated coverage of the East African Community (EAC) conference of Heads of State from the region where his team was able to produce outstanding stories, features and provide in-depth analyses. Chege has also been able to expand his horizons. He doubles-up as the main anchor for the youth programme, TUKO BASE, providing a platform for young Kenyans from various backgrounds to come and air their very differing points of view on topics as wide ranging as relationships, political, leadership and social issues. Chege holds a 2nd Class Honors B.A Degree in Media and Communications from Egerton university in Njoro, Kenya.
